Tessleymoor & Toplands Country Charity Event

June 15 2019

Our annual Tessleymoor and Toplands Country Charity Event, held this year on Saturday June 15, was once again a great success. Despite the forecast, the weather was kind to us and perfect for a day out in the country. We had a lot of fun with the  charity gundog scurry, which was as popular as ever. Such a mix of breeds from the smallest to a Dogue de Bordeaux took part and several owners also got involved in clambering over the bales if their dogs were a little reluctant to take part.

The entertainment and stands were excellent with hot drinks from Jonah’s Coffee and ice-cream from Brooks Gelato. This family business had a wedding to attend on Saturday but still managed to staff their brand new ice-cream cart so that we were not let down on the day. It was also great to have Goosnargh Gin with us – another superb local company.

The event continued well into the evening with live music from The Rockits, accompanied by drinks from the Old School Brewery and a BBQ.

As always, I’d like to thanks my friends, family and clients for their support in the weeks leading up to the event, for donations to the raffle and the auction, and for attending on the day. Money is still coming in but we raised around £11 000 for local branches of Heartbeat, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Motor Neurone Disease Association and Headway.

Thank you, Damian, for this wonderful donation. We look forward to this event every year. Your support is so very much appreciated.
